You’ve Probably Gone Your Whole Life Not Knowing This About Screwdrivers

I honestly can't believe I never realized this, and there's a good chance you haven't either.

Screwdriver handles (most) are shaped so that a wrench can slide over them for more torque.

A reddit user shared how he figured it out:

"I just could not get these Torx screws to budge with a screwdriver alone, with penetrating fluid, or by tapping the butt of the screwdriver with a hammer before trying again. Heating the screw with a torch was not an option either, due to oil and other flammable materials nearby.

And then this solution popped into my head. How I went for years and years without realizing the screwdriver handle was made to slip a wrench over it is beyond me."

Must. Tell. Everyone!
