Dad Transforms This Old Entertainment Center Into An Awesome Toy For His Son
This handy dad decided to build his son a kitchen playset for his birthday using an old entertainment center he picked up at Goodwill for $20. The transformation is incredible…

First, he removed all the doors and sanded it down.

He cut a hole and used a metal dog bowl for the sink.

The faucet was purchased from a local renovation store.

He cut holes for the individual burners.

He took the glass out of the door and put in a piece of plywood.

The range top is a piece of plexiglass he painted black with holes cut out for the burners.

For the "burners" he used electroluminescent wire. It doesn't get hot and runs on a battery controller. He routed trenches for the wire on the underside of the range top and after running the wire, screwed a piece of plywood on to cover them so they cannot be seen from inside the oven.

Each button on the back panel controls a burner, plus one for the oven.

The "oven" rack is actually a stack-able rack intended for counter tops. Here's a toy pizza cooking in the oven.
